1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 The Message
And regarding the question, friends, that has come up about what happens to those already dead and buried, we don’t want you in the dark any longer. First off, you must not carry on over them like people who have nothing to look forward to, as if the grave were the last word. Since Jesus died and broke loose from the grave, God will most certainly bring back to life those who died in Jesus.
Jesus came to give us life more abundantly according to John 10:10. He made it clear by stating what the thief (satan) does, he steals, kills and destroys but Jesus gives life in abundance.
The life in Christ is abundantly powerful that it will raise billions of believers from the dead. Life from heaven came to earth and life from heaven will come again at the sound of the trumpet when we who are alive will be caught up and the dead in Christ will rise from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:26, The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
Life is greater than death in God’s kingdom, for the believer life is what we are all about. Jesus said whoever believes in Him rivers of living water will flow from him.
John 7:38-39
On the final and climactic day of the Feast, Jesus took his stand. He cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes in me.” (He said this in regard to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were about to receive. The Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.) And they shall see his face; and his name shall be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will be their light; and they shall reign forever and ever.
This water of life flows from the throne of God by the agency of the Holy Spirit. In essence on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit was is poured out on the church and it spread from there to the whole world.
Notice to be saved we must believe that Jesus rose from the dead …
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
John 15:4) Jesus said “Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me.” 5) “I am the Vine, you are the branches.”
May 2025 Prayer for God to Bless America
Numbers 6:24 (NLT) ‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. 25 May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. 26 May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.’
This prayer is the special priestly blessing to bless the people of Israel. It is a blessing we should pray over one another, over our families, over children, and over our nation. We want the Lord to be magnified in America and we want our nation to be blessed. Yes, many in America have turned away from God and set up many idols and there are many who practice witchcraft. The blood of innocent babies terminated in the womb without a chance for life has stained the ground of this nation. The on going crime, human trafficking, child abuse, rape, murder, and mistreatment of others is largely because of the curses that doing evil has brought on this nation. America has sins that go back many generations but there has been several revivals in this nation that has preserved us. We need a revival to turn this nation around again. We want America to repent of her sins, to turn back to God, and to receive blessings from God, and not curses. We want to live under blessings not curses. We want to break curses, turn from evil, and turn towards God. May America reach the purpose for which this nation was created. May America have courage to serve God with integrity. May America have more passion for the things of God. May the leaders of America make wise decisions as they lead. May America have a positive influence on the world. May America be the head and not the tail. May America lend to many nations and not borrow. May America serve the Lord and Him alone. May America be a nation after God’s Own heart. Lord bless this nation, may we turn back to You with our whole heart. Pastor Jon
